We took on the Southern 50!
We took part in the annual Southern 50! We had 6 teams entered into the 30km and 50km events. After months of preparation, our young people and leaders rose to the challenge.
The Southern 50 is a demanding hiking and navigation event that tests participants’ resilience, endurance and teamwork. Teams must plan their routes between checkpoints, manage their time carefully and support one another throughout the day, all while covering significant distances.
Our young people have been prepared through the winter by taking part in training hikes in Kent, Surrey and Sussex in all kinds of weather (and mud!) and improving their navigation skills. Those winter miles certainly paid off.

Our legs and feet were a little sore, but all quickly forgotten and we’re already taking about taking part next year. We are really proud that all our teams crossed the finish line as complete teams, which shows great teamwork and resilience. Well done to everyone who took part!
