The 1st New Cross Scout group was formed on 17th January 1908 in New Cross, making us one of the oldest Scout groups in the world.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
