Volunteer Today

Welcome to 1st New Cross

In 2008 we celebrated our Group centenary. The First New Cross Scout Group was formed on 17th January 1908 in Besson Street, New Cross making us one of, if not the oldest, Scout Group in the World.

Along with one of the oldest troops in the world we offer the young people of the surrounding area an exciting outlook into their future lives, the prospect of developing their otherwise untapped abilities and the invitation to join the 100 year old adventure that is otherwise known as scouting.

Thinking of Volunteering?

Start Volunteering from as little as an hour, provide new adventures, learn new skills and above all else help change the lives of our young people.
