Geoffery Morris, 1st New Cross Scout Group

It is with deep regret that we have to inform you that we received a call from Geoff’s son Stuart to inform us that Geoff had sadly passed away at his home in Colchester.

Geoff had been involved with the First New Cross for 40 plus years as Assistant Scout Leader, Scout Leader, Group Scout Leader, Treasurer and Archivist and his singular humour and wit will be missed. Geoff did an awful lot for the Group and, when funds were short, dipped into his own bank account to purchase such things as new flags and the residue of the cost of the flooring in the hut, which he selflessly put down in the accounts as an anonymous donation.

For those who knew Geoff and would like to pay there respects Geoff’s funeral will be on Tuesday 14th May 2019 at 3:30pm at Colchester Crematorium, Mersea Rd, Colchester, Essex CO2 8RU.

May he forever Rest In Peace.
