Both were interviewed for BBC News, CBBC Newsround and Good Morning Britain, and did a fantastic job representing Scouting in New Cross.

Dwayne came to visit us last year in New Cross, to celebrate our newly opened Squirrel Drey.

We’d like to congratulate Dwayne on his new role. Dawyne is a fantastic role model for young people, and we’re proud to have him as our Chief Scout.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
