Beavers Become Eco Warriors!

The Beaver promise includes a pledge to ‘love my World’ and 21 members of our Beaver Colony put that into practise over a weekend at Bears Wood at our Eco Warriors Sleepover!

The Beavers learned about endangered animals, how to make basic water filters, how the food we eat can impact people and the planet and even helped to sort the camp recycling. They also took on some craft with natural materials, made bug hotels, sang songs around the campfire and took on the traversing wall, spider web, balance beam course and zip wire!

The leaders did their bit too by trying to reduce plastic in the camp food shop, providing recyclable camp materials, planning a seasonal menu and ensuring all that sorted recycling ended up in the correct bins. A good time was had by all (and everyone slept very well when they got home).
