About the First New Cross (The Greys) Scout Group

In 2008 we celebrated our Group centenary. The First New Cross Scout Group was formed on 17th January 1908 in Besson Street, New Cross making us one of, if not the oldest, Scout Group in the World.

Along with one of the oldest troops in the world we offer the young people of the surrounding area an exciting outlook into their future lives, the prospect of developing their otherwise untapped abilities and the invitation to join the 100 year old adventure that is otherwise known as scouting.

Our Scout Assosciation

The scout assosciation is a fun active scouting family which can include camping, cooking on an outside fire, climbing and all other different types of activites so why not come along and enjoy the world wide family of scouts having fun.
